GTA VI launch trailer debuts a song written for Vice City

Rockstar Games has released the Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer. Its soundtrack is not a familiar licensed hit: Flower in a Hurricane was created for the game by Justice with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.

The music belongs to this version of Vice City

Previous trailers used well-known songs to establish Leonida’s mood. The launch video gives the game its own track instead. That choice makes the music part of GTA VI’s identity and lets Rockstar cut the action around a composition made for these characters, rather than fitting new footage around an older record.

Jason and Lucia remain the centre of the story

The trailer moves between nightlife, police pressure, robberies and quieter scenes with Jason and Lucia. It presents them as partners whose relationship drives the plot, not simply as two playable characters sharing a map. The contrast between public spectacle and private tension gives the short video a clear purpose without trying to list every activity in the game.

The confirmed release remains unchanged

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar still has not announced a PC edition. The new trailer adds footage and music, but it does not introduce another platform or a separate GTA Online launch plan.
